Double Recognition At Apprenticeship Awards

Glass company the Cornwall Group is celebrating after two of its apprentices were recognised at the 2025 Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards.

Ruby Salmon, an engineering apprentice, took home the Engineering & Manufacturing Apprentice of the Year title, while IT apprentice Josh Coopey was highly commended in the IT Apprentice of the Year category. 

Both Salmon and Coopey have now reached the finals of the awards for the second consecutive year, highlighting their exceptional talent and commitment to their respective fields.

 

Rising stars

"Ruby has been instrumental in developing ‘Unicorn’, an innovative online spare parts catalogue that has transformed operations across our three manufacturing sites”, said Emma Harris, HR & marketing manager at Cornwall Group.

“Her dedication, technical expertise and ability to lead projects have set her apart as a rising star in the industry.

"Meanwhile, Josh has played a vital role in strengthening Cornwall Group’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of technological advancements in the sector.”
