Read Full ArticleElumatec (UK) and Emmegi (UK) have announced plans for a formal collaboration in the UK market. The move is part of the ‘one company’ approach being implemented by the Voilàp Group, which owns both firms.
In Europe, Elumatic and Emegi operate under the Someco band. Voilàp also owns other brands such as Tekna, and Keraglass and in Europe is more involved in window and door production than it has been in the UK.
A spokesperson told The Fabricator: “This one company approach is all about making the most of the synergies that exist in the individual Voilàp Group businesses. It is focused on growth by supporting customers to grow.
“Being able to draw on complementary talents, skills and knowledge will help us to serve customers with a portfolio of products and services that meet all their needs.
“In the UK, Elumatec and Emmegi will continue to operate alongside one another but with a shared vision and shared access to the other Voilàp brands.”
Growing market share
In a joint statement Ian Latimer, MD of Emmegi and Neil Parton, MD of Elumatec, wrote: ‘This is an exciting new chapter for both our businesses and has been warmly welcomed by staff. We are still finalising our new operational structure but we will certainly be working more closely together in the future, identifying new shared opportunities in the UK and Ireland and growing our combined market share.
‘The benefits to customers will come in the form of better access to a broader range of machines and software, more servicing and maintenance resourcesand more investment in process efficiencies’.
Customers should continue to deal with their current Emmegi or Elumatec contacts.
