Flying Into FIT As Pilot Lands At Telford

AluK has announced that we will be an official partner for the FIT Show at the NEC. And Business Pilot has committed to sponsor the Glass Conference in Telford being organised by FIT, GGF and FENSA.

Russell Yates, AluK’s MD, says: “We’ve secured a prime position on the floor plan and will be taking part in the full programme of events – from the learning zone to the installer hub.

“I know from AluK’s previous appearances at FIT in 2017 and 2019 just how big a draw aluminium is for the 5,000 or so fabricators and installers who visit every time. There’s a widespread recognition that, with the right supplier, aluminium can be the route to profitable new business even in a tough sales environment, so I’m extremely confident that our investment in FIT 2025 will be money well spent.”

A systems approach

The 2023 FIT show saw very few window and door profile suppliers (systems houses) attend. A post-show report suggests they were greatly missed by visitors and thus the organisers are confident they will return in 2025.

AluK’s focus will be on developing a product line-up that delivers what fabricators and installers need in the current market. Yates says: “That’s a simplified product offering, which is more efficient to manufacture and quicker to install and with powerful USPs which make it easier to sell.”

Business Pilot

Business Pilot’s MD Elton Boocock explains why he was the first to pick up the phone when the FIT Show, FENSA and GGF announced their new Glass Conference which will run in October 2024.

He says: “I knew that Business Pilot needed to be involved and within half a day of the announcement we had agreed to a top sponsorship spot – sometimes you must act on instinct.

“We already know that conferences are ideal places to discuss challenges facing the industry, discover new opportunities and network with key players across the sector. TheInstaller.pro and TheFabricator.pro and other trade press outlets were also very quick to get behind the Glass Conference, a move that often precedes successful events.

“Most importantly for us, Glass Conference will – via FENSA – appeal to installers, who are the people who use Business Pilot. The agenda at Glass Conference will offer advice and information that will benefit them.

“We already partner with FENSA and our API allows installers to register their installations from within Business Pilot in a matter of seconds with just a few clicks. There is no need to re-enter any details, which reduces errors, saves time, improves profitability and does wonders for customer relations.

“As a result of initiatives like these, we have a growing group of installers who share ideas and best practice with each other – we call it the BP Community. Glass Conference fits very comfortably with our brand and we know that our association will also benefit the event and its organisers.”
