Power To The People

Empowered people – whether employees or customers – are central to the success of a business, according to Wayne Shaw, the owner of The Window Company. We report.

The Window Company tries to attract the best employees and loyal customers, claims Shaw. He says: “At The Window Company, we owe our success to our employees and so prioritise growth and development within our team – and their skills and knowledge helps to deliver the best possible service to our customers.”

Apprenticeships

The Window Company actively supports apprenticeships, addressing the industry's skills shortage while investing in further training for its administrative team. Despite completing over 1,000 installations in a single year, The Window Company maintains control over quality by employing in-house fitting teams and salespeople, eliminating the use of sub-contractors. This hands-on approach ensures reliable workmanship. 95% of the company’s Trustpilot reviews are five stars.

Customers consistently praise the knowledge and patience of sales staff, highlighting their ability to address concerns and provide valuable guidance.

Sustainability

The firm runs a recycling programme for PVC-U products, generating funds to support local community causes and projects.

Supply

The Window Company offers a wide range of Listers' products, including aluminium flush windows, timeless flush windows and Sheerline windows and doors. Having access to a comprehensive product range allows the company to meet diverse customer needs and stay competitive, according to Shaw. He concludes: “Listers actively collaborates with us on marketing, ensuring it aligns with our needs. This approach results in marketing materials tailored to our requirements, not generic ones. It's a significant advantage. The shared commitment makes a meaningful difference.”
