Reynaers update to Digitrace

Reynaers Aluminium has introduced an update to its DigiTrace digital product passports, enabling fabricators to incorporate their own branding on labels affixed directly to its full range of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems.

The latest update to Reynaers’ DigiTrace allows fabricators to add their branding to element-specific QR code labels which are applied to each product. When scanned, these labels provide access to the digital product passport, displaying key system data such as glazing specifications and component details, supporting improved traceability throughout the supply chain.

This information supports accurate U-values calculations and informs sustainability assessments. It also helps to clearly identify the materials for enhanced safety and transparency.

The update also supports compliance, with the option to include the CE Mark logo on labels linked to digital passports that feature a digital CE declaration.

By scanning the QR code, users can instantly access performance, material and sustainability data.  This supports the digital passport approach and helps to maintain the ‘golden thread’ of information across the building’s lifecycle which is a fundamental requirement for futureproof buildings.

Designed to promote transparency from manufacture through to end use, DigiTrace enables building owners, installers, architects and contractors to access and share in-depth system, technical and performance data for specific products and elements throughout the lifetime of the system’s use.

Martin Boland, technical support manager at Reynaers Aluminium UK, says: “Reynaers is committed to supporting its fabricator partners, and this latest DigiTrace update is all about giving them greater visibility while strengthening traceability across the supply chain.

“DigiTrace was developed to allow fabricators to upload documentation and certification, which is then easily and instantly accessible by all stakeholders. This improves communication between site and office teams, enabling queries to be resolved quickly, often without the need for a site visit.  With this latest development, fabricator branding is visible at the point of installation and beyond, standing alongside Reynaers as a shared mark of quality while further enhancing traceability.

“Product details and technical information is exported directly from ReynaPro, Reynaers’ calculation, ordering and production software. Additional documentation such as environmental product declarations (EPDs), maintenance guides, warranties and installation instructions, can also be uploaded by stakeholders at any stage of the product lifecycle.

Boland says: “Our goal at Reynaers is to make life easier for fabricators, installers, architects and end users. By enabling branded labels linked to DigiTrace passports, we are supporting clearer product identification and ensuring critical project information remains accessible throughout the supply chain.”
