Taking A Plunge On The Summit

The Mark Allen Group has bought the Glazing Summit although Andrew Scott (the founder) and his companies, Insight Data and Purplex Marketing, will remain closely linked.

Scott says: “I created the Glazing Summit to enable the industry to connect, learn and share valuable insights and experience. We held the first event in 2018 and it’s gone from strength to strength with a first-class conference and gala dinner. This year we had almost 500 industry professionals attend the event tackling the biggest issues facing our sector.”

Over the last 37 years Scott has acquired, built and sold several businesses within the glazing sector and launched marketing specialist Purplex in 2004 to advise companies on business and marketing strategy.

In 2007 he launched Insight Data to provide the construction and fenestration sectors with in-depth market intelligence, with detailed information on all 14,000 companies that operates in the glazing sector.

Scott adds: “Mark Allen Group is a major media business that specialises in events such as the Glazing Summit and are ideally placed to take the event forward. Insight Data and Purplex will continue to support the Summit.”

Ben Allen, CEO of the Mark Allen Group says: “The Glazing Summit is an excellent addition to our portfolio of brands.  Andrew and his team have done an outstanding job in developing the event and we are delighted that Insight Data and Purplex Marketing will continue to support the event under our ownership.”

The Glazing Summit will be run out of MA Business, under the leadership of Jon Benson, MD and COO and Marc Young the publishing director of MA Business.
