Bringing Daylight To Doors Developer

Rooflight systems manufacturer, Brett Martin Daylight Systems, has supplied its Energysaver factory-assembled GRP rooflights for a door production facility in Bedfordshire.

The new Jewers Doors facility has been designed by architects Woods Hardwick and built by Parkway Construction. It comprises 45,700sq.ft of factory and 12,000sq.ft of office space. The rooflights have helped create a light, energy efficient environment which enhances the workplace for employees. The highly insulated building also features energy efficient heating and cooling systems – and a composite panel roof.

The specification for the 80mm-thick composite panel roof included 650sq.m of Brett Martin GRP Trilite 3.0 Energysaver rooflights to provide an even spread of diffused daylight into the building. These triple-skin, factory-assembled insulating rooflights (FAIRs) are designed to the same depth as the composite roofing system so that the flat liner panel sits flush with surrounding metal panels for a neater, trim internal appearance.

“We are pleased that the Energysaver FAIRS were specified on our new premises. The technical expertise from Brett Martin made the process of supply and installation as seamless as possible and we are very happy with the final result of our new building.”
