Clayton Glass Buys Saint-Gobain Facilities

Inside a glass factory

Clayton Glass has agreed to purchase the insulating glass unit manufacturing facilities of Saint-Gobain in Motherwell and Canterbury.

Contracts will be exchanged presently.

 

 “With this move, both capacities and geographical coverage have been significantly improved, as we strengthen our ability to deliver to the whole of the UK, from the south coast of England to the north of Scotland.”

65,000 units a week

“These additional capabilities will now allow us to produce upwards of 65,000 units a week, in a mix of standard IGUs, specialist roof and door products,” added The Fabricator’s contact.

With this latest investment, Clayton Glass has consolidated its position as an owner-managed, six-site operation - the largest of its kind in the UK.
