Electric – Ducato Still Sparkling Van Market

The Ducato has been around for over forty years providing performance and a strong focus on total cost of ownership. The all-electric version has been available for four years – we take a look at this first for Fiat Professional.

The all-electric version of the Ducato (Fiat’s most successful van) was launched in April 2021 (on Earth Day) to coincide with the 40th anniversary of original’s launch. It was developed using customer data in relation to the real use of their vehicles, confirming that more than 25% of the market already had a leaning towards battery-electric vans.

Specifications

As well as offering a complete range of versions, Ducato Electric vans feature modular battery size options, with ranges from 136 to 223 miles (NEDC cycle) and different charging configurations. All combined with impressive performances: speed limited to 62mph to optimise energy use, maximum power of 90 kW and maximum torque of 280 Nm. The electric powerplant does not penalise load volumes from 10 to 17 metre-cubed and a payload of up to 1,950kg, the best in its category.

Good for all

Fiat Professional has effectively exploited its technological heritage and experience to develop the electric version of its best seller, meeting the needs of every professional user and delivering innovation, performance and flexibility, working in line with the Ducato mantra of ‘more technology, more efficiency, more value’ to offer customers the reduced-emissions version of the most efficient, versatile electric van on the market.
