How Hard Is It To Get Into Aluminium?

Towards the end of last year, the Insight Data State of the Industry Report showed many fabricators adding aluminium options to their existing PVC-U offering – but how difficult is it to branch out? We investigate.

There are still lots of fabricators that are apprehensive about manufacturing aluminium products alongside PVC-U windows and doors due to perceived costs and anticipated changes required in their production processes.

Machinery supplier KallKwik says investing in aluminium will maximise profits and grow business – and it is not that difficult to dip a toe in the market..

Andy Worroll, the business development manager at KallKwik, says: “The misconception that aluminium manufacturing is costly and difficult is just not true. With a decent mitre saw, crimpers and the right knowledge, fabricators can seamlessly integrate aluminium into their operations.

“We offer an amazing range of machines, including top-quality, budget-friendly equipment from Schtec. KallKwik also provides guidance to optimise factory layouts, consult on machine acquisitions and offer essential after-sales support.”
