Into Infinity - Fitters Like Rooflights Straight From The Box

A rooflight on an extension

Demand for TuffX’s Infinity rooflights have been steadily growing amongst builders and specialist window installers thanks to the product’s easy-fit design according to the company - and fitters.

For example, Adrian of United Cloud Construction turned to TuffX when he needed a rooflight for an extension where the homeowners wanted to maximise the natural light in their new space.

“The process was quick and easy thanks to the design even with it being my first time using the product,” said Adrian. “Straight out of the box, the two units were simply slotted on to the upstand and then finished internally.”

Light

The rooflights were installed on the low pitch roof of a single story garden room extension to the rear of the customer’s property. Inside, the space was partitioned into two areas – a home office and a home gym, both popular home improvements since the pandemic – where good quality, natural light was a must.

With the limited-size roof unable to accommodate a traditional roof lantern, two Infinity rooflights were chosen and fitted, with Adrian putting TuffX’s claim of easy-to-fit to the test by installing both units himself.

He fitted two different sized rooflights – one 1m x 1m,and one 1m x 1.5m. In the Infinity range these sizes comes as standard, along with 2m x 1m and 2.5m x 1m - although bespoke sizes can also be arranged on request. Infinity rooflights also come with an option of glass finishes, including clear, solar and privacy glass.

Low maintenance

The finished result is a flood of natural light inside, along with excellent thermal insulation. While, inside and out, the rooflights blend with the roof, with their sleek, contemporary yet low-maintenance finish.
