With lots of things going on at Made for Trade that will see the company become a much bigger fish, a familiar face - Andy Jones - has been appointed to make sure things go on further.

2021 has been a bumper year for Made for Trade and its award-winning Korniche lantern along with the launch and  growth in sales and production of Korniche aluminium bi-folding doors.

Jones was once voted one of the most influential people in the market as he made various job moves to some of the biggest firms operating in the sector. His appointment  as Commercial Director is part of a business’s strategy which sees Made for Trade rapidly expanding from is SME status to become a much larger enterprise.

Development

Jones' industry knowledge and established business relationships will be an asset to a growing sales department and his broad experience of glazing products gives some new insight into product development strategy.

Pandemic

Despite some bumps in the labour and supply chain in the past 18 months, Made for Trade has managed to negotiate the issues effectively. There have been some increased lead times and associated customer service workload but deliveries have come on the times guaranteed. Manufacturing resource have been increased by 15% creating and filling around 35 new jobs.

“We are pleased to announce Andy has joined the team at Made for Trade, his industry knowledge is second to none and he’s been bringing some great new ideas and opportunities to the table.”

Contacts

"His experience will help to support the current directors in areas such as market research, evaluation of areas for strategic growth or diversification," adds Made for Trade's Gaunt. "And of course we are keen to capitalise on his network of industry contacts to acquire new customers”

Jones said on his appointment: “I am really looking forward to working alongside Brad, Chris Wann and the wider MfT team. I have known the directors for many years and have always admired their attention to detail in product design and engineering. They are already the UK’s largest manufacturer of aluminium lantern roofs and bi-folding doors.

"Under Brad and Chris’s management MFT have established themselves as the number one trade supplier for these products and I intend to use my knowledge and industry contacts gained over the last 35 years to enhance this position further as MFT seeks to move to the next stage of their already impressive growth plans.

Jones 2

Alongside Andy Jones, Made for Trade has recently made some other senior position appointments with experienced head of finance David Jones joining from a family run manufacturing business that has experienced the kind of growth Made for Trade is maintaining.
