Six Sigma
It was Leach who oversaw the introduction of quality management processes such as Six Sigma in AluK’s warehouse which have delivered measurable improvements in picking accuracy and also expedited straight through labelling in the factory to highlight any orders which might be overdue and contribute to lower OTIF scores. He will now be looking for other process improvements to drive further advances, as well as concentrating on maintaining the quality focused culture which he has helped to create at AluK.
He says: “AluK has been a great place to build a career so far and I’m very excited to be stepping up into such a key role for the business.”
Russell Yates, AluK’s MD adds: “Tony has already shown himself to be a rising star here and this is yet further evidence of that.”
