Future Homes Standard Webinar Debate - 9 July

Future Homes Standard

Keystone will host a webinar debate entitled Future Home Standards: How can we meet government targets and deliver sustainable housing for now and the future?

The online debate, which takes place at 11:00am on Friday 9 July, will focus on the  housing sector and how it can play its part in meeting the UK’s ambitious net zero targets by 2050 and at the same meet the housing target of 300,000 homes a year.

It will explore the Future Homes Standard and how the sector can ensure it builds homes for the future without leaving a legacy of retrofitting.

Moderated by journalist Ruth Slavid, the webinar will also pose the following questions:

  • Does volume and quality affect and impact on a sustainable choice?

  • What impact will the Future Homes Standard have?

  • What are the challenges to creating buildings that achieve the desired outcomes for clients?

  • What is the key consideration to improve the fabric of the buildings (fabric first), without reliance on renewables and technologies?

  • What are the challenges of finding and choosing material solutions that will help create thermally efficient homes?

Featuring debate, discussion and a Q&A, the webinar has an impressive line-up of industry panellists including Gavin Dunn, Chief Executive at the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE); NED & Chartered Building Engineer, Darren Evans, founder and chief facilitator of Darren Evans Assessments, a company focused on creating sustainable buildings; and Ben Cheetham National Specification Manager at Keystone Group UK.
