• The Residence Collection becomes founding member of WFN

The Residence Collection has become a founding member of the Women In Fenestration Network (WFN). The newly formed organisation held its inaugural professional development day last month, with women from across the country in attendance representing every part of the fenestration supply chain.

Several keynote speakers took to the stage, including former England rugby captain, Catherine Spencer.

Another highlight was the launch of a mentoring programme, led by Clare Bailey, an experienced commercial leader with over 25 years in senior roles across manufacturing and construction.

Designed for women at all career stages, this programme helps mentees gain confidence, clarity, and industry insight from experienced professionals. In turn, mentors have the opportunity to share their expertise, offer guidance, and actively shape the next generation of sector leaders.

Following the success of the event, several further initiatives have been organised, the most recent of which took place in July, where the WFN hosted a training day focused on window installation, attended by The Residence Collection brand ambassador, Alyssa Jones.

The organisation also launched the WFN Podcast on 27th July, with Jo Trotman and Sarah Hitchings of The Residence Collection joining the inaugural episode which is due to air shortly.

Late this year brings the beginning of WFN’s lunch and learn programme which will be held in London at the GGF headquarters on 15^th September. Part of WFN's lunch and learn regional training programme, invites women from across the sector to take part in bite size training sessions, with the first one focusing on confidence and imposter syndrome.

We hope these initiatives will encourage more women to start and progress their careers in fenestration."
