Vista Sees 17th SBD In A Row

Vista Panels has received its most recent membership certificate with Secured by Design. This is the seventeenth time the composite door manufacturer has achieved certification.

Pip Anger, the company’s long-standing technical director, took the opportunity to receive the certificate at this year’s FIT Show. He says: “The renewal of Vista’s SBD membership makes us one of the industry’s longest serving door manufacturers, with this certificate highlighting our Police Preferred Specification (PPS) credentials on our range of doors, locks and hardware.

“At Vista, we pride ourselves on our ability to ensure that our products are manufactured to meet the requirements of all the latest industry standards, including PAS24:2016 and CE marked/UKAS marked. We are also members of the Association of Composite Door Manufacturers.

“Being members of Secured by Design is a must for us – having it is not only a requirement for a lot of our products, but it also shows our customers that we are a fully accredited company that fully tests our products in accordance with industry standards.”

SBD development officer Hazel Goss said at the FIT Show presentation: “It was great to present one of our member companies with their most recent certification. Vista Panels have been members since 2006 and I’m looking forward to many more years of successful collaboration.”

20-year partnership

Vista is also celebrating its 20-year partnership with Doncaster-based fabricator Direct Trade.

Vista’s MD Keith Sadler says: “Vista has supplied Direct Trade with PVC-U panels for the past 20 years and we recently supported them by taking on the fabrication of full composite door sets with our XtremeDoor brand, freeing up their resources and manpower for their own fabricated products.

Direct Trade is a trade window, door and conservatory fabricator working from a 100,000 square foot facility.
