External shading specialist, Caribbean Blinds, was part of the first-ever Grand House, a unique property built by Grand Designs Live for the prestigious London exhibition of the same name.

The Grand House was a brand-new showcase for this year’s event which took place at the beginning of May at London’s ExCel.

Caribbean Blinds Classic Lite Pod was a key feature set within the garden of the Grand House, creating an incredible opportunity for attendees to explore the design, quality and benefits of the aluminium pergola.

Add-ons

The Classic Lite Pod has a waterproof opening louvered roof that can be quite easily adjusted so users can find the right amount of sun, shade or shelter. With a range of add-ons including windproof side screens, infra-red heating and integrated LED lighting, homeowners will be well protected against the elements so they can relax and enjoy their outdoor experience.

Reflecting on the success of the event Stuart Dantzic, MD of Caribbean Blinds, said: “It was fantastic to be asked by the Grand Designs team to showcase our popular louvered pergola in the incredible Grand House garden space.

“We first attended Grand Designs 12 years ago, when we launched the first louvered pergola to the UK market, so it was incredible to be invited back.
