Customer feedback helps upgrade Excalibur
Kenrick has upgraded its Excalibur XL window locking system in direct response to customer feedback, part of its commitment to listening to customers and continually improving its products the company says. The latest development sees additional fixing points incorporated through the gearbox faceplate.
The enhancement was introduced following feedback from customers looking for greater flexibility when fabricating, handling and transporting finished windows.
Suzanne Nicholl, sales and marketing director at Kenrick, says: “Our customers work with our products every day, so listening to their feedback is incredibly important. Excalibur XL is already a proven and highly regarded locking system, but there are always opportunities to make a great product even better.”
“This latest enhancement came directly from conversations with customers. They asked whether we could incorporate additional fixing points through the gearbox faceplate and we listened. It’s a simple change that delivers a genuine practical benefit for fabricators.”
The upgraded design has already received positive feedback, with one customer immediately recognising the changes, describing the new design as “brilliant” and highlighting the fabrication efficiencies it delivers compared with the previous product.
Excalibur XL combines patented high-security bi-directional claw locking with steel shoot bolts and profile-related keeps with a night vent facility. Available with 20mm, 22mm and 25mm backsets, the system is PAS24 capable and suitable for Secured by Design specifications and backed by a 10-year mechanical guarantee.
Nicholl says: “Product development should be driven by what customers actually need. By maintaining an open dialogue with our distributors and fabricators, we can continue to develop products that deliver the security and reliability they expect from Kenrick, while making fabrication as straightforward and efficient as possible.”
