Accelerant Buys Installer Support Group

Accelerant Holdings has bought Kinnell Holdings, the company behind installer support firms Certass and Certass Trade Association as well as IBG specialist QANW.

The  purchase also takes in Kinnell Corporate (a commercial insurance broker) Guaranteed Protection Insurance (GPI), Warranty Services and The UK Trades Confederation.

Certass and Certass TA will be the best known names to those in the fenestration industry, with QANW (Quality Assured National Warranties) also recognisable as the firm that actually issues and guarantees the Insurance Backed Guarantees offered by both FENSA and Certass members.

Accelerant supports a network of underwriting teams across the US, UK and Europe, with a current focus on coverage for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Since its inception over twenty years ago, Kinnell has grown into a vertically integrated insurance group that primarily serves the building and remedial treatment industries, focused on the provision of home improvement consumer protection, including both deposit and post-completion warranty protection. However, the Group also includes similar services for customers who secure the building of commercial premises.
