No Bar For Werbar Says Widgets

Werbar is a popular alternative to steel reinforcement for windows

With supplies and prices of steel across all manufacturing sectors not stable, Window Widgets has seen demand for Werbar reinforcement sections know no bar.

Available for the vast majority of PVC-U window and door systems, Werbar is a popular alternative to steel reinforcement and one that’s also a cost-effective solution for many. It also creates additional profile chambers, provides improved screw retention and PVC screws can be used optimising the fabrication process.

Improving the U

Werbar is also a useful component when looking to reduce U-values in a window and door. When Building Regulations, that are likely to be announced later this year, the product again will likely be harnessed to help meet the new standards.

“When Werbar came out in 2009 it was designed to be the most cost-effective tool in developing an energy rated window with increases of up to 9 points over steel.”

Guidance

"Importantly, we can provide expert guidance to PVC-U frame manufacturers as to which sections to use and what they can achieve from an energy efficiency perspective," adds Window Widgets, Clare. "It’s already widely used by many of the largest fabricators in the industry and therefore particularly appropriate to the current range of 70mm systems."
