Welcome Home, Come On In And Shut The Coloured Door

A colour front door

Homeowners like the idea of boosting their home’s kerb appeal. Going for a fun, bold front door is a sure way of standing out from the crowd and creating a 'welcome home' feeling as we learn with an article with thanks to Solidor.

With plenty of colour choices available, creating that impactful, grand entrance can be a bit daunting. Your customers will think 'perhaps it doesn’t blend well with the current calm look going on' or they will ask themselves 'would a brightly coloured door really match the neutral interior colour scheme that’s so flexible?'

That's when, out of sheer panic, they revert to the safer options – classic whites, blacks and light greys.

Now there’s nothing wrong with these timeless choices but it is up to you to support their colour ambitions - show them brochures of stunning installations or let them know they don't have to pick one when they can opt for dual colours and match a neutral interior whilst still making that exterior style statement.

Trend setters

By using the likes of Peacock Blue on the exterior door face for instance, it’s bright enough to make neighbours rethink their door choice, yet on the inside, with  Solidor’s dual colour option, they are still able to play it a little safer and choose a Cream or Painswick for the inside.

Advise your customers they could even go further than just the typical neutrals and connect their door colour to their home’s entrance and team with a cool colour palette. Dulux’s colour of the year for 2020 'Tranquil Dawn', would make the perfect pairing to achieve a cohesive look without being too 'matchy-matchy'.

23 colours

Solidor's doors can be styled in 23 colours that can be used in any door style, in any colour on either side of door, in any combination. Have a look - you might fancy one yourself.
