Haffner has been chosen by Joedan Windows and Doors as its machinery partner for a major new manufacturing facility on the Isle of Wight. The investment marks a significant milestone for Joedan as the window and door manufacturer brings PVC-U fabrication in-house as part of its growth plans.
The new manufacturing facility is located on Joedan’s 3.5-acre site on the Isle of Wight. It will become the company’s second manufacturing facility and forms part of a wider £3m investment programme designed to support Joedan’s plans to double annual revenues to £35m by 2030.
Phase one has seen Haffner supply a comprehensive package of PVC-U fabrication machinery, including a TT405 Double Mitre Saw, TV193 Automatic V-Notch Saw, KB516 Single Head Reverse Butt and Cill Welder, SMR4 Four Head Welder, CA117 Transom Cleaner, CN770/20 CNC Corner Cleaner, TC294/20 Automatic Bead Saw and MS300 Digital Measuring System.
Bryan Dando, commercial director at Haffner, says: “This is a very exciting investment from Joedan and we are delighted to have been chosen as their machinery partner for this important development.
“When you are creating a new manufacturing facility from the ground up, there is an opportunity to consider every element of the production process. We have worked closely with the Joedan team to develop a solution that will deliver the efficiency and capacity they need today, while also taking their longer-term plans into account.”
Planning permission has already been granted for a further extension to the site, which will provide the additional manufacturing space required for phase two and allow production capacity to increase as the business continues to grow.
