Outwood Wharf Sees Inward Development

United Living Group has been awarded a £50 million contract to build 296 new homes at the Outwood Wharf development in Salford. The project will be delivered through United Living’s New Homes business.

The phase two development is on behalf of Ridgeback, There will be 275 residential apartments, 11 townhouses and ten duplexes across three connected blocks. The development ranging in height from 8 to 23 storeys will also provide ground floor amenity space, parking facilities and podium level landscaping.

 

Environment

Located in the heart of Salford, the build to rent scheme (BTR) will provide much-needed new homes as part of a mixed-use scheme on a vacant site in a sustainable, brownfield location. The scheme also includes low carbon infrastructure, with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

The contract award is the latest for United Living Group, which is accelerating its growth into the BTR sector with a current order book of over £300 million of BTR schemes in cities across the UK.
