A Virtual Success

During the lockdowns, Morley Glass and Glazing has funded and created 50 virtual showrooms, with the help of videoproduction4, the National Fenestration Awards and FENEX.

With real-life showroom visits off the table, the virtual showrooms have allowed installers to grow their business in the most challenging of times. Each virtual showroom, worth £1,500, allows visitors to the websites to see the diversity, and experience the quality, of products available.

The recipients have reported a significant rise in website visits and appointments from customers who may not visit a physical showroom, meaning they have been able to continue operating.

Companies including McDermott Windows, Heath Windows, Droylsden Glass and Sapphire Windows are just a few that have benefitted from the technology.

Emma at Blackburn based McDermott Windows says: “Lockdown has meant we have had to look at things differently and the virtual showroom has enabled us to showcase our products in a really detailed way. Also, we can demonstrate that we do have an authentic base which is reassuring for many people to see."

Thanks to Morley

"We really do appreciate that this was given to us by Morley Glass," adds Emma. "Ian (Short, Morley's MD) is so supportive of people in this industry. He sees work in this sector as collaborative and we will always support him because of his generosity.”

Brilliant tool

Kevin Thackery at Droylsden Glass in Manchester said: “What a brilliant tool this has been, particularly during current restricted climates - the virtual showroom has really supported our business. We do now always try to promote it and we gain such positive feedback from visitors to the site. This business has remained strong, and we feel that the virtual site has greatly influenced that.”

FENEX

Short volunteered his services as soon as the idea of a virtual showroom give-away was floated. He worked closely with Lee Clark of FENEX (the virtual glass & glazing exhibition and the National Fenestration Awards to get the project off the ground and assisting the winners as soon as possible."
